Before and After

I think the pictures do a great job of explaining both the need and desire for new counter tops, sinks, and faucets. No matter how hard I cleaned, how abrasive of a product I used I could not get rid of the stains, and yucky build up. The sink was leaking terribly, which caused mold to build up behind the back splash, the previous owners tried to hide it by using large amounts of caulk, which was finally peeling away from the wall and tearing off the paint. The disposer barely worked, and the sink was chipped and cracked. During the replacement we learned that the drains were also cracked and rusted. YUCK!! Hooray for the tax refund which allowed to make these improvements!

I just love these new counter tops, sinks, faucets, and disposer!

Good Things Utah

My mom and sister went to a benefit concert for Paul Cardall (amazing musician with a congenital heart defect) (you can hear some of his music on my play list). They won 20 tickets to a live taping of Good Things Utah, so we went with Grandma Johnson, Aunt Christy, Sister Lindsey, and many friends. It was amusing! I have never been a real fan of talk shows of any kind, I have never seen Good Things Utah, but it was still fun to see how the taping works and what all is involved. My sisters and I enjoyed being a little silly and pretending that we were talk show hosts afterwards, and we made my mom come up with us while we had our pictures taken with the three hosts of the show. Thanks mom for an entertaining morning. :)

Easter Festivities

This year we spent Easter with my family by dying Easter eggs, frosting Easter cookies, having an Easter egg hunt, eating a yummy Easter dinner, and enjoying the good company of family. Brandon was far from interested in the Easter egg hunt- the only egg he found was the one on the tire of my brothers truck - why? because it was on the truck, which was far more interesting than any egg with candy laying on the ground free for the taking!Dad and Taylor coloring and decorating Easter eggs.Brandon really enjoyed his tasty Easter dinner. :)Chandler understood and really enjoyed finding the Easter eggs, he filled his little bucket with no trouble at all. :)Brandon and Chandler went for a ride on the blanket toss, and learned to enjoy it. :)The highlight of Brandon's day was when he got to play with a BALL! in a CRUCK! Complete bliss for this little kid!

Easter -Then and Now

I have always been a wanna-be photographer, unfortunately I have never wanted to put in the time or money that it takes to really be any good, but sometimes I get lucky. I love these Easter pictures from last year and now this year. Something about my little boy in his Easter clothes and the beautiful spring season just makes me happy.

An unusual Easter basket

This year the Easter bunny brought a very unusual Easter basket to Brandon. That smart bunny knew that Brandon could care less about having candy and treats so instead he brought this -
Brandon was thrilled! Thank goodness that Easter bunny has a very creative mom who helps with all these fun holiday's (thanks mom!)

April Fool

The sun comes out, the sun goes in,
The raindrops halt and march;
And when you're sure of damp and ark
Up comes the rainbow's arch.

Then, when you're sure of sun and shine,
Down comes the pouring rain!
The weather swings from fair to foul,
From foul to fair again.

There's neither rhyme nor reason here,
There's neither rhyme nor rule.
It's evident the April day
Is playing - April Fool.
